What’s New

Lacroo ships changes most days. What’s New tells everyone what changed since they were last here.

What people see

A short list, newest day first, covering everything since your last visit. Each line is the area it belongs to — Dockets, Prestarts, Plant Register, and so on — and one sentence saying what changed.

On the web, the list opens by itself when there is something unread. All updates in its footer goes to the full history, where a filter narrows to New, Improved or Fixed and Earlier days loads further back. On the phone, a small sparkle button sits beside the avatar on the home screen and carries a dot while there is something unread; Show more opens the rest of the day and Show older loads earlier days.

Who sees which line

Everyone sees every line. There is one list, written once, and it is the same list for office staff, crews, suppliers and clients.

Where the lines come from

Every morning at 6am Sydney time, Lacroo reads the changes merged in the previous day and writes them in plain language. Three things never appear:

  • security fixes,
  • anything naming a customer, a person, a site or a support ticket,
  • internal-only work such as tests, tooling and documentation.

Lines are written once and never rewritten, so what someone read yesterday stays the way they read it.

Sending a suggestion

Suggest in the web list opens a box for one message. It goes to the Lacroo team, who can reply straight back. Up to ten a day per person.
