Labour & Plant Dockets Report

Every labour and plant docket line on one project for a date range, in one Excel file with four sheets: Dockets Detail, Summary by Supervisor, Summary by Cost Code and Summary by Date. The layout matches the Plant & Labour Docket Report from Lacroo Core, so existing spreadsheets and pivot tables keep working.

Who can run it

Anyone whose role has dockets View pricing. By default that is Master Admin, Org Manager, Project Admin, Engineer, Supervisor and Senior Supervisor.

What the file contains depends on your role:

RoleDockets in the file
Master Admin, Org Manager, Project AdminEvery labour and plant docket on the project.
Supervisor, Senior SupervisorDockets where you are the supervisor or an additional supervisor.
EngineerThe whole project while Export whole project is on in your role (the default). With it off: dockets carrying one of your assigned cost codes, plus dockets with no cost code.

A report only ever contains the dockets you can open in Lacroo. See Reports for how files, emails and history work.

How to run it

  1. Open Reports › Dockets › Labour & Plant Dockets.
  2. Pick From and To. The range starts on today.
  3. Optionally narrow it with Suppliers, Supervisors and Diary Status.
  4. Check the About N rows line and the first 100 rows shown under the filters. A line shared across activities adds rows, so the file can be a little longer.
  5. Click Generate.

You get a “Report ready for download!” email with a Download Report button, and the report appears in Recent reports. Files are kept for 90 days. When a run fails or its file expires, Run Again makes a fresh copy with today’s data.

The file

An Excel file named <Project> Dockets Export <From> - <To>.xlsx, for example Riverside Road Upgrade Dockets Export 30 Jan 2026 - 27 Feb 2026.xlsx. Months are short (Sept, June, July). Characters a file name cannot hold are left out.

Summary by Supervisor

One row per supervisor, in the order they first appear: Total Rows, Work Items, Prestarts, Attachments and Total Amount. Two people with the same name stay on separate rows. Dockets with no supervisor are grouped under (No Supervisor).

Summary by Cost Code

One row per cost code, in the order they first appear, with the first activity description, the four counts, Total Qty and Total Amount. Total Qty adds quantities across units, as Core did. Rows with no cost code are grouped under (No Cost Code).

Summary by Date

One row per docket date, oldest first, with the four counts, Total Qty and Total Amount.

How a line becomes rows

  • Each docket line gives one row.
  • A line shared across several activities gives one row per activity. Those rows add up to the line, to the cent; any rounding cent goes on the last row of the line.
  • The rows of a docket add up to the docket’s total, to the cent.
  • A line migrated from Core keeps its single row and its Core activity.
  • A docket with no lines gives one row, typed WORK ITEM, with its hours as Qty and its total as Amount.
  • A docket that has never been priced keeps its row with a blank Amount. A priced docket that came to $0.00 shows 0.

Day works are shown on every row of the docket and are in no total. Use the Day Works report for day works totals.

Differences from Core

  • Suppliers and Diary Status filters work.
  • Docket-only rows show an activity and cost code.
  • Prestart rows show their real PO line and number.
  • Attachments show the rate source that priced them.
  • Each line is counted once.
  • Each docket shows its own approvals.
  • Supervisors are grouped by person, not by name.
  • Rows are sorted.
  • Dates are exact days, with no time-zone shift.
  • A blank amount means not priced; 0 means priced at $0.00.
  • Docket Unique ID is the Lacroo docket id.
  • Units use Lacroo’s words (hour, day, ea).

Dockets migrated from Core

Day works and additional supervisors on migrated dockets print once they are loaded into Lacroo. Until then those columns are blank on those dockets.
