Picker Reads
A picker reads only what it shows. Each list below has a picker read next to the full read that management screens use.
| Method | Path | Used by |
|---|---|---|
GET | /v1/orgs/{orgId}/projects/{projectId}/members/options | Person pickers (supervisor, notify, raised by) |
GET | /v1/orgs/{orgId}/projects/{projectId}/suppliers/options | Supplier pickers and supplier filters |
GET | /v1/orgs/{orgId}/projects/{projectId}/cost-codes/options | Cost-code pickers and cost-code filters |
GET | /v1/orgs/{orgId}/projects/{projectId}/activities/costing-summary | The Actual Cost and Actual Rate columns of a table |
Members
members/options returns user_id, name, email, role and assigned_role_name for every member. The Members tab, the add-member dialog and roll-call read the full /members.
Suppliers
suppliers/options returns one row per supplier link: the link, the supplier org and its name, whether it was deleted, the agreement type, whether it is sign-on only, and the contract. Deleted suppliers are left out unless include_deleted=true (history filters such as reports and timesheet exports).
Cost codes
cost-codes/options searches the register on the server, a page at a time. The register is never downloaded whole.
| Parameter | Meaning |
|---|---|
q | Matches the code or the description (case-insensitive, anywhere) |
stage_id | Only that stage’s codes |
limit | Rows per page, 1–100, default 50 |
cursor | The previous page’s next_cursor |
codes | Look up these codes’ descriptions (up to 100); used to label a choice |
A page has items and next_cursor (null on the last page), and no total. When more rows exist, the picker shows Keep typing to see more and Show more.
On web and mobile the picker waits 200 ms after the last keystroke before it searches, keeps the previous rows on screen while the next search loads, and cancels a search that is no longer needed.
On web, the first page loads before the picker opens: when the pointer moves onto the picker or it takes keyboard focus, and while the raise-issue dialog or an issue’s details are open. The picker then opens on data.
For an organisation still on the legacy COINS bridge, each contract’s codes are fetched from the bridge at most once every 5 minutes per API server, however often a picker searches.
Activity costing
activities/costing-summary?activity_ids=… returns the actual cost and rate of up to 200 activities in one request. A diary, prestart or day-report activities table reads its costing once, not once per row, and only while a costing column is shown.
