Dates & Times
Every date and time shows in the project’s time zone: on web, in the mobile app, in prints, reports and CSV files. Everyone sees the same time for the same record, wherever they are.
A project’s zone comes from where the project is. See Projects › Timezone.
In the project’s zone
- When something happened: a sign-on, a prestart, a submit or approval, a comment, a photo.
- “Today”: date presets such as Last 30 days, the date a new docket starts on, and the date in an export’s file name.
- A time you type, such as a drug and alcohol test time, is the project’s clock.
Shift start and finish
A docket’s shift start and finish, and its breaks, show exactly as entered. A 7:00 am start reads 7:00 am for everyone. The same goes for shift times proposed during labour approval.
Calendar dates
A diary date, docket date or alert date is a day, not a moment. It shows as the same day everywhere.
No single project
A page that covers the whole organisation, such as the organisation dashboard or the organisation’s Alerts page, uses Sydney time (Australia/Sydney). Rows that belong to a project, as in the Alerts report, still use their project’s zone.
CSV files
These CSV files write each time with the project’s offset, for example 2026-04-07T08:10:00+10:00 for 8:10 am in Sydney:
| File | Columns |
|---|---|
| Sign On Workbench Export CSV | signed_at |
| Roll call | signed_at |
| Drug & Alcohol report | Signed At, Marked At |
| Timesheet | Confirmed At |
| Docket CSV | submitted_at, reviewed_at, confirmed_at, exported_at |
Shift start and finish are written as entered, ending in Z: a 7:00 am start is 2026-04-07T07:00:00Z. Read the clock as it is. Do not convert it. These are Start Time and End Time in the timesheet, and start_time and end_time in the docket CSV.
Where a file name carries today’s date, it is the project’s today, for example sign-ons-export-2026-04-07.csv, roll-call-…, activities-export-… and dayworks-export-….
