Subcontractor

The Subcontractor module adds a fourth agreement-type dimension — subcontractor — to Lacroo’s contract → docket → pricing → allocation stack. A subcontractor contract represents an arrangement where a specialist firm is engaged against a defined scope of work, priced via a negotiated schedule of lump-sum or unit-rate items (the Schedule of Rates), alongside the standard Classifications and Equipment Rates that already exist on labour-hire contracts.

Who uses it

PersonaWhat they do
HC Project AdminCreates a subcontractor contract, authors the Schedule of Rates, bulk-imports rate lines from the supplier’s cost book, confirms cost allocations.
HC Cost ControllerReconciles subcontractor invoices against scheduled-item quantities in the /admin/dockets workbench (available in a later slice).
Site SupervisorRecords subcontractor work on a docket — picks scheduled items from a typeahead, enters quantities, and submits (available in a later slice).
  • Schedule of Rates — authoring scheduled items, bulk-import, import from rate source, cost allocation.
  • Spec: docs/superpowers/specs/ (subcontractor-crews-dockets branch).

Architecture note

contract_scheduled_items mirrors the shape of contract_equipment_rates: each item carries a meter_type, base_rate, minimum_engagement, monthly_minimum_smu, and pro_rata_formula, so the existing 8-stage pricing engine can price a scheduled item identically to an equipment rate. Global overtime and penalty rules apply at pricing time. The cost-allocation resolver gains scheduled_item as a root entity type alongside material, worker, and equipment.

Docket-level consumption (picking scheduled items on a subcontractor docket) ships in a later slice. This slice covers contract-level authoring and import only.
