Bulk Edit & Undo
Change the same fields on many records at once, then put them back if it was a mistake. It works on the web lists below and through the Copilot, which asks for one approval for the whole change.
Editing many records
- Tick the records on the list, or ask the Copilot (“move all draft dockets to 6am”).
- Choose Edit. Fill in only what should change; a blank field keeps each record as it is.
- Save. The result says how many changed, how many already had that value, and which ones could not be changed and why.
Up to 500 records go in one edit. A filter that matches more asks you to narrow it.
On the docket list, Select all matching is not offered while the Rate Source or ERP Exported filter is on. Tick the dockets on screen instead. On the plant register it is not offered while archived plants are shown, and an archived plant is never edited.
A record changes only if you could change it on its own. If a single edit would be refused (a confirmed diary, a published prestart, a raised daywork sheet, a completed roll call, a docket past the stage you may edit, a field user whose supplier was deleted), the bulk edit refuses that record with the same words and changes the rest. Records you cannot open are reported as not found and left alone.
Moving dockets back
To put dockets back to an earlier status, tick them on the docket list (or Select all matching) and choose Move to: Draft, Submitted or Reviewed. The Copilot does the same in one approval (“change all the dockets on this project to draft”).
- Each docket goes back one step at a time, the same as unconfirming, unreviewing and unsubmitting it by hand. A confirmed docket can go all the way to draft in one move.
- The confirm step says how many move from each status, for example “3 confirmed → draft”.
- A docket already at or before that status stays as it is.
- A docket is left alone, with the reason, when you could not move it back yourself (only an admin can unconfirm), or when it has been pushed to the ERP. Un-push it from ERP Exports first.
- Confirmed dockets that move back leave timesheet exports and can’t be claimed or sent to the ERP until confirmed again.
- A move back can’t be undone. Submit, review and confirm the dockets again instead.
From a Copilot screen
A Copilot screen can change many records at once, in two ways.
- Tick rows, then one button. Tick rows in a screen’s table (the box in the header ticks the whole page). The table counts them, for example “3 selected”, including rows ticked on other pages. A button under the table, such as Mark reviewed, changes every ticked record.
- Edit cells, then Save changes. Some screen tables let you type a different value on each row: a start time, a supervisor. The table counts the rows you changed. Save changes sends them all; Clear changes puts the table back.
Either way:
- One confirm card covers the whole change. It names the records, and for edited cells lists each one’s value before and after (the first ten, then “and N more”).
- Up to 500 records go in one change.
- A record that can’t be changed is left alone, with the reason, and the rest are changed.
- One Undo on the result puts every record back. See What can’t be undone.

Undo
Bulk edits, and most changes the Copilot makes from an approval card, can be undone for 30 days. Each one says whether it can.
- After a bulk edit, press Undo on the result.
- For a Copilot change, press Undo on its card or in the conversation’s list of actions.
- The Undo window lists each record and what it will go back to. Press Undo to put them back.
- Anyone who could make that edit on those records today can undo it.
- An undo can itself be undone.
What can’t be undone
Undo puts a record back only when doing so is still safe. A record is left as it is, with the reason shown, when:
- Someone changed it since. Undo never overwrites a newer edit.
- It moved on. The record has since been submitted, confirmed, published, raised or completed.
- The plant was archived. Nothing is put back on an archived plant or its hires. Restore the plant first.
- More than 30 days have passed.
The whole change can’t be undone, and nothing is put back, when it did something that can’t be taken back:
- sent an email or a phone notification,
- recorded a worker’s sign-on or acknowledgement,
- recorded a supervisor’s answer to an alert,
- priced a worker’s shifts from a new rate.
Docket pricing is worked out again after an undo. Other fields go back to exactly what they were.
